The role requires the design and management of various projects for the design of new buildings, the spaces in and around them as well as the restoration, refurbishment and conservation of older buildings.
In addition, the role necessitates developing new ways of repurposing existing buildings in order to produce successful schemes with a commercial viability whilst also maintaining and being sensitive to the original building heritage . Involvement in construction projects will be from the earliest stages right through to completion. The role works under the direction of a director or other senior members of the practice but minimal supervision and independent working is expected.

Overview
The job encompasses provision of architectural design services and solutions, specializing in the science of architecture, building design and construction. Working closely with architects and designers forming the link between concept design and completed construction. Bridging the gap between the idea of an attractive functional building and the reality of that building performing successfully. Ensuring that the right materials are used and that the building meets current regulations. Monitoring quality, costs and deadlines throughout the project. The role works under the direction of the senior management team with minimal supervision and independent working is expected.

Working as part of the senior management team you will be responsible for the management of the day-to-day operations for the company with oversight of all design work and a team of experienced architects, technicians and support staff (currently 16 in total) alongside the smooth running of the company’s internal processes.

The job encompasses the collation, organisation and investigation of technical information for use during the development of the project design. You will specialise in the application of technology to architecture, building design and construction. You will have specialist skills enabling you to use your technical knowledge to provide innovative solutions. You will work closely with architects and designers and form the link between the concept design and the completed construction. The role works under the direction of an Associate Director or other senior members of the practice.
